GADSCAPE respects intellectual property rights and responds to clear notices of alleged copyright infringement in content hosted on the site (forum posts, guides, images, news articles).

Filing a notice

A valid notice must include:

  1. Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed
  2. Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and its location on the Platform (a URL)
  3. Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
  4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  5. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner
  6. Your physical or electronic signature

What happens next

We review each notice rather than auto-deleting content on receipt of an informal complaint. Where a notice meets the requirements above, the material is removed or disabled and the poster is notified.

Counter-notification

If your content was removed and you believe this was a mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice including:

  1. Identification of the material removed and its former location
  2. A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  3. Your name, address, phone number, and consent to the jurisdiction of the applicable federal court
  4. Your physical or electronic signature

Absent a valid infringement lawsuit filed by the original complainant, removed material may be reinstated within the timeframe required by law.

Repeat infringer policy

Accounts that are the subject of repeated, substantiated copyright notices will have their content removed and their account suspended or terminated.
